Compliance with laws. Vital interests and legal rights. Cookies & Other Tracking Technology
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. You can configure your web browser's cookie settings to enable or disable cookies as per your needs. Most browsers automatically allow cookies by default, but this can be modified in your settings — though some pages and services may become unavailable as a result.
Cross-Border Data Transfers
Our servers are located in the U.S., Europe, Canada, and India — specifically us-east-1 (N. Virginia), us-east-2 (Ohio), ap-south-1 (Mumbai), ap-northeast-2 (Seoul), ca-central-1 (Canada) and eu-central-1 (Frankfurt), across a total of 100 servers. If you access our sites from outside these locations, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in these facilities and by third parties with whom we share your personal information.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, these countries may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as those in your country. We take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable law, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information between our group companies and our third-party providers. Our Standard Contractual Clauses and further details on our safeguards can be provided on request.
Information Handling & Retention
At any time, you may review or update the personal data we hold about you by signing in to your account. When we receive a request to access, edit or delete personal data, we first take reasonable steps to verify your identity before taking any action. We retain your information according to the respective statutory retention period required to comply with law and to support a claim or defense in court; after that period, data is routinely deleted once it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of a contract.
- Event-based data (visitor queue, agent login attempts, browser/device details) — retained up to 30 days in BigRadar's cache
- Customer data (name, email, contact number, chat transcripts) — retained for 6 years, or as per the customer's own Privacy and Data Protection Policy
Information Security
We are committed to holding your information securely. We have implemented suitable physical and electronic security procedures to safeguard your sensitive information from unauthorized access or disclosure, and we follow stringent procedures to ensure we work with all personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Use of the Site by Children
We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the site, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to that minor's use of the site. If we learn that personal information from a user under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under 18, please contact us at team@bigradar.io.
Your Rights & Consent
BigRadar provides transparent, specified, and informed consent through clear affirmative action (positive opt-in). We never use pre-ticked or opt-in boxes, and consent is always given separately for each matter rather than as a precondition for other services. Withdrawing consent is easy, clear, and straightforward. Certain privacy laws, including the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), provide the following rights:
- Right to Access — access certain personal information we have collected about you
- Right to Correction — request that we rectify inaccurate information about you
- Right to Restrict Processing — in certain cases, restrict or limit how we use your personal data
- Right to Deletion — request deletion of your personal information, except where we're required to retain it by law or to protect BigRadar's safety, security and integrity
- Right to Object — object to processing based on our legitimate interests or the public interest
- Right to Withdraw Consent — withdraw consent to our processing of your information, for example via an email unsubscribe link
